One of the most vibrant and fastest growing areas in Colorado Springs, the Powers area offers very good values in recently built and new homes. Powers is often the first choice for families with young children. The Powers area is particularly convenient to Peterson AFB, and has been an excellent choice for recently built homes in the $180,000 to $250,000 price range. Much of the Powers MLS area is within Falcon District 49 schools, and a new high school north of Dublin is nearing completion.

The Powers Corridor, stretching along Powers Blvd. from Constitution to Woodmen Road, is being built out rapidly, with many new shopping centers. Powers Boulevard itself is being extended north and west towards I-25; it is fast becoming a principal artery for transportation around Colorado Springs. The Powers area is about 10 minutes from Peterson Air Force Base and 25 minutes from Schriever Air Force Base. The Stetson Hills area off Stetson Hills Boulevard offers brand new and resale homes by many major builders. Resale homes are priced from the $160,000s to the $400,000s. In addition to single-family homes, there are brand new and recently built town homes priced from the low $150,000s to the $180,000s.

Indigo Ranch is a major development centered at the corner of Peterson at Stetson Hills. There's still new home building going on. This area is expanding northwards beyond Dublin in new subdivision filings.

Chapparel Point is a distinctive new community of brand new Classic homes with "turn-of-the-last-century" styling, including covered front porches, alley access to garages, privacy fencing and complete landscaping. These brand new homes are priced from the $180,000s to the $210,000s. Chapparel Point is in Indigo Ranch at Stetson Hills, and is located at Stetson Hills Blvd. and Markscheffel Road. Ridgeview at Stetson Hills is a large established area with brand new and recently built homes by several major builders, including John Laing Homes. This area is located east of Powers Blvd., generally from Barnes Road north to Dublin Blvd. Resale homes are priced from the $160,000s to the $350,000s, with most homes priced in the $200,000s. Springs Ranch is the large area of homes east of Powers and stretching north from Constitution Ave., bordered by the Springs Ranch Golf Course and First & Main Town Center shopping area on the west. Prices for resale homes range from the $160,000s to above $400,000, with most listings priced from $200k to $350k.

A unique community, The Cascades at Springs Ranch, offers homes on patio-sized lots. It's located just south of Remington Elementary School at Pony Tracks Drive.
